Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group partners with Smart Energy GB to help small businesses benefit from smart meters
Smart Energy GB, the voice of Britain’s smart meter rollout, has announced a partnership with Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group (TVCC). The partnership will help small businesses in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Swindon find out more about smart meters and how they can benefit.
Smart meters will be offered to every home and microbusiness (businesses with fewer than 10 employees) by 2020. They provide accurate readings directly to suppliers, bringing an end to estimated bills, and show customers what they are spending in pounds and pence, in near real time.
Smart Energy GB will work with TVCC to provide information on smart meters through:
- social media campaigns across a number of TVCC channels
- articles and information about smart meters in TVCC publications and newsletters
- a PR campaign targeting regional business media
- events and forums for small businesses in the area
