Smart Energy GB wins Digital Cinema Media award for the Best Use of Innovation in Cinema
Smart Energy GB, the voice of Great Britain’s smart meter rollout, has received further industry recognition for creative campaigning by winning the Digital Cinema Media award for the Best Use of Innovation in Cinema.
The award was given to Smart Energy GB for its Gaz & Leccy cinema takeover. The film shows an unsuspecting cinema audience getting the shock of their lives when the two cheeky characters come to “life” in a fully immersive, 4D live event. The mayhem Gaz & Leccy cause brings to life the idea that the way we currently buy and use gas and electricity is out of control, and that smart meters are the key to getting that control back.
Imaginative and innovative content such as this film is vital to inspire people about the transformation that smart meters are bringing to our out dated energy system.
The film introduces the solution of smart meters, which bring an end to estimated bills, and give us control of our gas and electricity. The film also won two silver Creative Circle awards earlier this year.
