Additional support to contact your energy supplier
Need additional support to connect with your energy supplier? This may include requiring a low-to-no cost contact number, or a textphone line. We have provided a list of some alternative contact details below.
Contact option definitions
Please see below for a list of definitions, detailing your contact options:
Free-phone or toll-free
Definition: Calls are free of charge from all consumer landlines and mobile phones.
Number starts with 0800 or 0808
Geographic number or local rate number
Definition: These numbers relate to specific locations in the UK and are used for homes and businesses. For example, Cardiff is 029, Edinburgh is 0131 and London is 020.
Definition: Textphones have a keyboard and a display screen. You type what you want to say rather than speaking into a mouthpiece and can read the conversation on a display without needing to hear the other party. You may decide to use a textphone instead of a standard telephone if you are deaf and/or if you have difficulties with your speech.
Relay UK app
Definition: The Relay UK app offers text-to-speech and speech-to-text translation services. A relay assistant in a call centre acts as an intermediary, enabling people with hearing or speech impairments to communicate with other people over the telephone.
