

The board
Smart Energy GB is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. The company is governed by a non-executive board, whose make-up is set out in law, led by an independent non-executive chair.
The Board comprises of:
a chair appointed by the relevant suppliers;
six directors representing the interests of energy suppliers;
four directors representing the interests of energy consumers; and
any person who is, from time to time, appointed as Chief Executive Officer

As a highly collaborative organisation SEGB also welcomes to Board meetings representatives from DESNZ, Ofgem, Citizens Advice/Citizens Advice Scotland, network operators, and the independent chair of the Audit and Risk Committe
